About me
My journey with music started before I turned fourteen. I was making beats in GarageBand, not knowing where it would lead, just hooked on the feeling of making something out of nothing. Then I played DJ Hero on the Wii and discovered Deadmau5. I looked him up on YouTube, found "Some Chords", and that one track opened everything up for me. Listening to Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, I knew electronic music was what I wanted to do.
That brought me to the Herman Brood Academie in 2017, where I studied music, and later to SAE Amsterdam, where I studied audio engineering and graduated in 2022.
After school I hit a wall. I didn't really know what my sound was yet, and I was a big perfectionist. My classmates were releasing track after track while I kept overthinking. At some point I just had to push through, so I released "Lose Myself", my very first track. Like any first release it was a learning experience, but it helped me stop hesitating and keep going.
Not long after, I flew to Los Angeles. The first days were tough. I didn't know anyone there yet, so I spent long days in a room with my laptop, producing every day because that was the one thing I could control. Melodic techno was blowing up at the time, and I dove deep into that sound.
When a close friend joined me in LA, things opened up. We went out to clubs and I got to meet some amazing producers. Going from making music alone on my laptop to working together in real studios gave me a kind of energy I'd never felt before. That's when I knew this is the life I want.
Right now my music sits in melodic deep and progressive house, but I don't want to stick to one sound. I'm also exploring a blend with more friendly, poppy EDM. This is just where I'm heading.
Thanks for stopping by.
